2 Strangers for Mobility
March 01, 2021 - If you are looking at the topics of sustainability and mobility of the future, you can't miss out on e-mobility. While some of us are already enthusiastic electric car drivers, others still have doubts and concerns about the new technology. With his YouTube channel "Robin TV Blau", Robin Schmid has set himself the goal of cleaning up myths about the topic and inspiring people for e-mobility. In this episode he meets Benedikt Schell, CEO of the Mercedes-Benz Bank. As captive, Mercedes-Benz Bank plays an important role in making electric mobility possible for our customers and bringing electric vehicles from the Daimler Group onto the road. Both guests openly discuss what hurdles still exist and what they can do in their respective roles to minimize these hurdles. 2 Strangers for Mobility
February 15, 2021 - Against the background of the increasing digitalization and electrification of the automotive industry, the business models of the automotive banks are facing major changes. From the customer's point of view, speed and transparency are also trumps in vehicle financing and leasing. In particular younger customer groups want to complete the process as quickly and online as possible, from the request to credit check, legitimation and signature to the payment/takeover. The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic has accelerated digitalization and led to an increase in online sales. At the same time, digital distribution channels cut the direct connection between customer and retailer. Regardless of this, user behavior is also increasingly changing from a permanent purchase of a vehicle to a needs-based, time-limited mobility solution. What is the role of mobility services? How is it possible to secure the direct contact to the customer? How will the business model of automotive banks evolve over the next few years? In this episode of “2 Strangers for Mobility”, Stephan Unger, Member of the Board of Management for Finance, Controlling and Digital Mobility Solutions at Daimler Mobility AG, and Dr. Peter Renkel, CEO of mobility finance platform GmbH, will examine the opportunities and challenges of car banks from two different perspectives.
2 Strangers for Mobility
January 18, 2021 - Transformation. Change. Transition. Different words with the same meaning: the call to break habits. This is already not easy for us in our private lives. How does this work in an organizational context? What is exactly behind it? In order to clarify these two elementary questions, in the current episode "Corporate Transformation" of "2 Strangers for Mobility" two people, who have a lot of change expertise, talk to each other: our Chief Operating Officer Jörg Lamparter meets transformation expert and author Sabine Kluge. A conversation that brings facts, suggestions for improvement and wishes for the future on the table, but also questions the topics critically. One question in particular stands out: What roles do managers play when it comes to transformation?
