The automation and digitalization of the payment process creates a global and uniform payment standard. Two products are combined: an electronic wallet - eWallet (a virtual account) - and a global solution to process payments.

Pay directly from the car with Mercedes pay
In September 2019, CFO Stephan Unger announced the next concrete steps at the IAA: Daimler Mobility is integrating its group-owned digital ePayment platform Mercedes pay into various Daimler applications. The electronic payment platform Mercedes pay supports in-car payment for parking and for Mercedes me services as well as payment for fuel conveniently via app.

Modular architecture: Connecting further services and payment providers
Over the past 12 months, an in-house global competence center has developed numerous payment services. Mercedes pay’s standardized architecture can easily connect various systems and other payment services providers. Future plans include step-by-step development and integration of more Daimler Group products and services.
