Autonomous vehicles will change society and our environment like no other technology in the future. Daimler Mobility will provide the infrastructure through financing, service network and fleet management and thus make a significant contribution to the development of autonomous driving at Daimler
Research and development in the field of autonomous driving
Research and development for autonomous driving is in full swing. Tests are already taking place near the development sites in Sunnyvale, California, and Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg/Germany. Daimler is the first international automobile manufacturer to receive a test license in Beijing. In addition, a public pilot plant in California was launched in November 2019.
We see this as a further development based on our experience with FREE NOW, SHARE NOW and REACH NOW. This means that customers can order autonomous vehicles via one of our Mobility Services apps. They will then be transported driverless from point A to B.
