November 05, 2020 - Online commerce and flexible on-demand delivery services, and with them the entire sector of providers of courier, express, and parcel delivery services (CEP), have posted impressive growth in recent years. To enable it to flexibly react to the expected rise in demand, Mercedes-Benz Van Rental has substantially increased its fleet by adding around 3,000 panel vans, which it is offering to logistics service providers so that they can cover peaks in demand or flexibly bridge any breakdowns they may have.
The company has already signed framework agreements with several major providers in order to ensure adequate availability of specific numbers of vehicles for flexible rental. The Mercedes-Benz Vito and Sprinter panel vans are made available either directly at the providers’ distribution centers or at the approximately 150 Van Rental stations. Customers can rent the vehicles flexibly from Van Rental for as little as one day or as long as 24 months. The vehicles can be returned ahead of schedule free of charge. The rental fee includes the cost of servicing and maintaining the vehicles.
For some time now, our daily rental business has been affected by the current boom of the CEP sector. That’s why we have continuously increased the number of suitable vehicles in our fleet. We gladly adjust ourselves to the sector’s specific needs and offer our customers integrated and tailored solutions.
