mytaxi just launched its E-Scooter pilot called ‚hive‘. Some hundred new e-scooters are now available in Portugal's capital Lisbon and offer a viable alternative to getting around.
The pilot project "hive" by Daimler subsidiary mytaxi is the next step on the way to environmentally-friendly and intelligent mobility of the future. Those who live in urban hotspots are familiar with the downsides of living in densely populated areas. Traffic, pollution and a lack of parking spaces are impeding the quality of life. At Daimler we have been developing innovative mobility concepts for over ten years to improve individual mobility in our cities and, at the same time, improve the quality of life.
"hive" supplements the continuously growing mobility portfolio with a locally emission-free sharing model on two wheels and brings the first 200 e-scooters on the road in Lisbon. A perfect transportation alternative is now available for the short stretches and it’s also a lot of fun.
E-scooters are an attractive form of transport in many cities, and an environmentally friendly alternative to reducing congestion and air pollution.

The aim is to make mobility offers even more intuitive and to facilitate traffic use. Customers use the hive app to find and book scooters. The application is similar to other sharing offers like car2go. With a fixed price of 1 euro per ride, 15 cents per minute and a maximum speed of 24 km/h, the e-scooters are also a flexible and inexpensive traffic alternative.
A factor of success for the launch of this pilot project was also the close cooperation with the city of Lisbon. Daimler Mobility Services works closely with local authorities to reduce the strains on city centers - for an even better quality of life.
